Fits in the back of your Bible and covers more map info than any Bible I've ever seen!!!
Pros: I love the maps and the see-through plastic maps that go over the other. The maps are very detailed and allows you to have a much clearer understanding of where the Bible characters were and what those places are today.Con: It is not as thin as they let on. I have a trifold Bible cover that I use but to slip it into the back of your Bible, neh, I would say it would definitely fall out a lot.
I bought this guide for my husband who wanted to use it to see where the biblical regions are in relation to the current maps and this was exactly what he was looking for. A friend of ours has the larger, ringed version and said that this one is much better as the larger one does not have the overlays
I am not happy with this item. This booklet had staples about a sixteenth of an inch from the spine, making it impossible to use. Especially as a map and even more especially as a then and now map. The book will not lie flat. (See pic) None of the pages will open completely. I am very disappointed as I have never had any problems like this in the past with Rose Publishing. Considering this thin booklet was over $16 that made it completely unacceptable! I didn't want to mess with returning it so I took a chance and removed the three extra staples. They were rather difficult to remove but I did it and now the book lies flat the way it supposed to. However I do not feel I should've had to have done this. Not to mention that there are six permanent holes with the staples are used to be. Thankfully there were two staples in the crease of the binding where they should be., so the booklet still stays together. Also two of the pages were creased pretty badly. It almost looks like it was used but I can't be sure. For these reasons I could only give this booklet one star. The Maps themselves, with the Vin and now feature I absolutely love. However there is a lot of information in this book that is not part of the maps. I feel if this information has been left out this pamphlet could have been much thinner and easier to insert at the back of a Bible like it is meant to.
Now I can see what used to be and what is now. I can look up what is going on now in the middle east and know where they are talking about an how it was effected in biblical time. I am very pleased I purchased this, all knowledge is good. I should have done this years ago.
It's okay, but there are a lot of towns not mapped on this brochure map. Bought two and wish I hadn't. Also don't like it put together with staples. But, it IS an interesting insert; just not complete enough.
This is such a great resource for bible study. It's well done, easy to read and use and it's slim enough that it tucks right into the back of my bible. There's a small index in the back of this which makes figuring out which map to use to locate a city very quick and easy. This really simplifies the maps.
A lot of good Trivia in here in addition to the maps. Small enough to slide into a notebook or bible case and full of information
This map is very helpful. The clear plastic page with new map and information can be super-imposed on the old one, to have a clear idea of th past and present.
